Rail Capital is a fast-paced railway strategy game where you're not just building a railway but buying and selling pieces of everyone else's.

Build track across a living network, connect cities and industries, run passenger and freight services and even invest your profits in the companies you think will prosper.

Choose where to expand and invest your company's money in new track, stations, trains and operations.

Connect valuable cities and industries before your competitors get there or find other ways to profit from their success.

Buy the competition

Buy shares in rival companies, profit from their growth and build a controlling stake. If you can acquire a majority, the company is yours (pending an offer to the share-holders).

A railway empire doesn't necessarily have to be built from scratch and sometimes it's easier to buy one!

Move passengers and freight

Passenger networks are only part of the economy. Build freight routes connecting resources, factories, warehouses and ports. Move raw materials, manufacture valuable goods and construct efficient supply chains across the map.

Railway strategy without the fourteen-hour game

Rail Capital takes inspiration from the ruthless economics and player interaction of classic railway board games and puts them into a continuous, real-time strategy game. There are no traditional turns. Companies build, trains run, markets move and opportunities appear while everyone is playing.

Games are designed to play out in roughly 40-120 minutes.

About the demo

The demo includes 3 guided tutorials that introduce railway building, company management, share trading and freight systems.

After that, put what you've learned into practice and start building your own railway empire in a short 40 year scenario against 1 rival.
